HARTFORD- During the annual Connecticut Business and Industry (CBIA) Day at the Capitol, state Rep. Len Greene (R-105) took part in a panel discussion called “Energy and the Environment Policy in Connecticut: A Delicate Balance.”

The thrust of the discussion centered on Connecticut’s energy costs, reliability and the balance of those costs with environmental concerns and how those issues impact local businesses in the state.

Greene reiterated his stance that Connecticut must find a way to balance the needs of businesses, the environment and homeowners while trying to bring the state’s massive budget deficit back in line.

“Cheap energy that’s environmentally sound is difficult to find,” Greene said, in a prepared release. “In order to stabilize the state’s energy market we must stop changing the rules in the middle of the process otherwise businesses will continue to leave the state or not invest here in the first place. The legislature must stabilize its energy policy if we expect the business community to invest here and help grow our economy.”
