BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Democratic Town Committee is looking for candidates interested in running for open elected positions on the 2011 Democratic ticket.
Candidates are being sought for the following available seats: selectman, treasurer, tax collector, Board of Finance, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Assessors, Board of Assessment Appeal, library directors and Board of Education.
Individuals interested in running, Democratic or unaffiliated, are asked to submit their letter of intention to Democratic Town Chairman Kathy Grace by May 15.
The nominating committee will meet mid-May to begin the review process.
“We have always been a team united, proven with a full slate during the 2009 election and the eighth term win by First Selectman, Susan Cable,” Grace said in a prepared statement.
The Beacon Falls Democratic Town Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at Town Hall at 7 p.m.
