NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck YMCA will celebrate Healthy Kids Day, April 25, with a free community event for kids and families.
YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve families’ health and well-being. The event features activities such as arts and crafts, healthy snacks, child ID kits, family swim, gym activities, and rock wall climbing.
“The Y is so much more than sports, swimming, gymnastics and a place for kids to hang out. We support families in their efforts to instill healthy habits at home,” said Naugatuck YMCA Youth and Family Director Sherri Beck in a press release. “We know that it can sometimes feel like a challenge. So at Healthy Kids Day, we’ll encourage kids to stay physically and intellectually active all summer long, and give families tips they can easily replicate at home. It’s free and open to the community.”
The Healthy Kids Day will take place from 12 to 3 p.m. at the YMCA, 284 Church St. For more information, call (203) 729-9622 or visit naugatuckymca.org.
