BEACON FALLS — The Board of Selectmen this month appointed James Carroll to fill a vacancy on the Board of Finance.
Carroll said he brings about 40 years of experience working in a financial field, including nearly 30 years as the chief financial and operations officer for the Trumbull-based Cooperative Eductional Services. He has also served for four years on Milford’s Board of Finance.
Carroll fills the seat vacated by James Huk, who was elected to a seat on the Region 16 Board of Education in November but subsequently resigned due to an expected job opportunity.
The finance board elected Marc Bronn as chairman this month. Joe Rodorigo, the previous chairman, was elected as the vice chairman and Thomas Pratt was elected as the secretary.
