The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

CHRISTOPHER GAUVIN, 26, of 29 Bessie St., Oakville was charged with breach of peace.

Gauvin was arrested following an altercation over the accused blocking a driveway on Rubber Avenue with his vehicle. The complainant stated that he asked Gauvin to move his car at which time Gauvin allegedly displayed a knife at the victim. The knife used in the incident could not be located but Gauvin was charged with breach of peace. He was given a court date of Feb. 3 and released on $500 non-surety bond.

PATRICK CURLEY, 22, of, 379 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, and failure to drive right.

On Jan. 26, at approximately 12:51 a.m., Curley was pulled over on Field Street by Hickory Lane. The accused was traveling north on Field Street and allegedly drifted over the centerline into the southbound lane.

Based on the investigation Curley was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was given a court date of Feb. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond.

HEATHER CHANDLER, 26, of 499 North Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct.

On Jan. 27, at approximately 2:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to 499 Spring St. apt A for a domestic disturbance. Chandler was involved in an altercation with her boyfriend. Chandler was upset because her boyfriend came home late from a party. Chandler allegedly punched a door and scratched her boyfriend’s face. Minor injuries were reported.

Chandler’s brother, who was next door, heard the yelling and entered the residence “to protect his sister”. He began to wrestle with the boyfriend outside the residence. Heather was given a court date of Jan. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. She was released on a promise to appear.

SHAWN CHANDLER, 24, of 181 Longview Terrace, Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct.

On Jan. 27, at approximately 2:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to 299 Spring St. apt A for a domestic disturbance. Chandler was involved in an altercation with his sister’s boyfriend.

Chandler, who was next door, heard the yelling and entered the residence “to protect his sister”. The accused began to wrestle with the boyfriend outside the residence. He was given a court date of Jan. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was held on a $500 surety bond.
