WATERBURY– Matt Luis, of Naugatuck, has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Fall All-Academic team for 2010. Luis has maintained a cumulative 3.79 GPA this fall at Post University.

Luis, a sophomore on the men’s soccer team, graduated from Kaynor Technical High School in Waterbury.

“Post University is career focused and student driven,” said Anthony Fallacaro, Post University Athletic Director. “To have Matt named to the Fall All-Academic Team demonstrates his commitment to excellence in the classroom and on the field.”
This is the first time Luis has made the all-academic team.

A total of 151 student-athletes among the 14 conference schools have earned a spot on the team this fall.

They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.
