Naugatuck native to work for nonprofit in sunshine state

Direct Relief International is pleased to announce Naugatuck native Kerri Murray as the new Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Development. Prior to joining Direct Relief, Murray worked for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals for thirteen years, in the U.S and Europe, serving most recently as Senior Director of Cardiovascular Marketing for the U.S. business. She began her career in public service roles; working as an aide in the Rhode Island State House, assisting on a U.S. congressional campaign, then as the lobbyist for the Providence, Rhode Island-based nonprofit, Save the Bay. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Providence College in Rhode Island.

Founded in 1948, Direct Relief is a Santa Barbara-based nonprofit organization focused on improving quality of life by bringing critically needed medicines and supplies to local healthcare providers worldwide.
