Jillian Powell Ziman and Steven Jerald Pollock were married May 7, 2011, in Holy Infant Church in Orange by the Rev. Peter S. Dargan. A reception followed at Grassy Hill Country Club.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Powell of Greenwich, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome A. Ziman of Queens, N.Y.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Martucci of Prospect, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry DeStefano of Oxford, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen G. Pollock of Bridgeport.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride had Allison P. Scampolino, sister of the groom, of Prospect as her honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Michelle Tischer Roman of Bethany and Lauren A. Sprague of Orange.
The best men were Michael Caetano and Marlo Palumbo of Woodbridge. Groomsman was Cory J. Ziman, brother of the bride, of Orange. Ushers were the groom’s cousins Anthony Dota and Matthew Dota of Bethany, and the groom’s brother-in-law James Scampolino of Prospect.
Mrs. Pollock graduated from the University of Hartford in Hartford with a bachelor’s degree in education.
She is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.
She is a preschool teacher in Glastonbury.
Mr. Pollock graduated magna cum laude from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.
He is an IT specialist in Avon.
The couple resides in Plainville and will take a honey moon cruise to the Caribbean this fall.
