The certification is earned by completing 16 weeks of formal classroom instruction followed by a 60-hour internship program in which 30 hours are dedicated to hands-on training and 30 hours are devoted to organized community outreach programs.
The Garden Club’s new master gardeners will be on hand at the club’s plant sale, May 14 in the St. Michael’s Church parking lot, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer all gardening questions.
