Beacon Falls, Naugatuck and Prospect ushered in the holiday season early this month. On Dec. 3, Beacon Hose Company No. 1’s hosted its annual Tree Lighting and Bonfire, which included lighting ceremonies at Beacon Falls Town Hall, St. Michael’s Church and Beacon Falls Congregational Church, followed by a bonfire on Wolfe Avenue. Naugatuck hosted its first Light the Night Festival, which incorporated the traditional Christmas tree lighting and visit from Santa Claus, downtown on Dec. 3. On Dec. 4, Prospect and the Volunteer Fire Department of Prospect sponsored the town’s annual Tree Lighting and Light Parade, which featured decorated fire trucks from Prospect and neighboring towns, along with local businesses culminating with the lighting of the Christmas tree. –PHOTOS BY CITIZEN’S NEWS AND REPUBLICAN-AMERICAN
