Brian M. Swiatek

Army Spec. Jeffery A. Temple, and Army Pvt. Brian M. Swiatek have graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Temple and Swiatek, both of Beacon Falls, graduated from Woodland Regional High School in 2006.

During the nine weeks of training, Temple studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Temple is the son of Janet Temple of Bethany Road, Beacon Falls.

Swiatek is the son of Maryellen Swiatek of Rice Lane, Beacon Falls.
