Rosa Moriello of the Boston University women’s track and field team advanced to the NCAA Championships in the 5,000m run during the Division I Women’s Track and Field Preliminary Championships May 31 at the University of North Florida. Moriello, a Naugatuck High School graduate, finished third in her heat and sixth overall with a personal-best time of 16:03.57. She earned an automatic spot in the 2014 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.
