George White earned a 1st degree black belt and Dylan Trisko was promoted to 2nd degree black belt. –CONTRIBUTED On March 1, Extension Educator of UConn Cooperative Extension System Faye Griffiths-Smith visited the Naugatuck Head Start Program to celebrate America Saves Week. America Saves is a national social marketing campaign that seeks to motivate and support low to moderate income households to save and build wealth. Families were provided information from People’s Bank and American Saving Bank to emphasize automatic savings and make it easy to start saving. Twelve families made pledges to start saving and two families won $25 gift cards to Stop & Shop.
