The Beacon Brook Heath Center Bandits won the 2012 Athena Softball Tournament Aug. 25 in Southington. The Bandits, who have not lost a game in two years, dedicated the win to Ellen Olschefski. Olschefski, a former administrator at the center, died unexpectedly in July. The Bandits presented the game ball to her husband, Bob Olschefski, after the win. The tournament raises money to assist employees with the financial burdens associated with cancer. -CONTRIBUTED
