Valerie Fortney of Naugatuck competed at the Songahm Taekwondo Spring Nationals in Las Vegas, Nev., March 14. She competed in four events and won home three metals. She placed second in forms, third in traditional weapons and third in combat weapons sparring. Acts 4 Ministry unveiled a newly-acquired box truck that was purchased through a $15,000 grant from the Ion Bank Foundation. The truck will be used for delivery of furnishings to people who have lost their homes and possessions to fire, flood and other unexpected life-changing situations.
