Woodland Regional High School student Katie Bolduc, with help from Loren Luddy’s advisory, led a gift drive for her senior project. The Woodland Advisory program collected toys and gifts for over 80 children serviced by the Waterbury Department of Public Health. Every child enrolled in the program was able to receive a gift at its annual holiday celebration. –CONTRIBUTED
USA Martial Arts in Naugatuck conducted a Kid Kicks (ages 5 and 6) karate grading on Feb. 23. Students demonstrated skills in kicks, sparring, forms, one-steps, board breaking, rolls and break falls.
