The flags include the 13th Century flag bearing St. George’s Cross, which was carried by settlers from England, and one that consists of 13 horizontal stripes representing the original 13 colonies, and 50 stars representing the 50 states of the Union. This is a traveling display. The strudel was part of the Naugatuck Ecumenical Outreach Network’s monthly community dinner. The organization serves the dinners, which are prepared from scratch each month and put on by volunteers, in hopes of bringing members of the community together.
