He is currently based at Holy Saviour Parish in Naugatuck. Walsh, a Queens, N.Y., native who now lives in Watertown, is a graduate of Yale Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree. Walsh currently serves as the Catholic Chaplain at the Southbury Training School, and as a volunteer chaplain at Waterbury Hospital on an occasional basis. He is in training for the priesthood at Holy Saviour in Naugatuck, where he has led some adult Bible Study groups. Walsh said in a press release that he choose to follow the religious path after teaching religious education to youth. ‘I loved doing it, and I had a sense that I wanted to commit myself to something larger than me,’ he said. –CONTRIBUTED The Citizen’s News recently held its Christmas coloring contest. The church collected coats, hats and scarves, and donated the outerwear to anyone who stopped in the church. Conway, 69, has lived in Naugatuck her entire life and graduated from Naugatuck High School.
