The team recently completed its 2014 season with a 28-10-1 overall record. Ten boats participated in the race July 12. Boy Scouts from Troop 104 Luke Fenwick of Beacon Falls and Travis Hopkins of Naugatuck won first place. Fellow Boy Scouts from Troop 104 Eric Wrogg of Beacon Falls and Seth Golembeski of Naugatuck won second place. Students were selected for the scholarship on the basis of a well-rounded character, including a positive academic record, and demonstrated leadership in school and community activities.
