CN wins 13 Excellence in Journalism awards

The staff of Citizen’s News was honored with 13 Excellence in Journalism awards by the Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists at an awards dinner Thursday night. CN’s writers took first and second place in both General Reporting and In-Depth Reporting, as well as first place in Sports, Arts and Entertainment and Business news. Its Thanksgiving Football section beat out the New Haven Register’s submission for first place in the special supplement category. Following is a full list of the award winners:
