  • How does it feel to have earned salutatorian honors?

“To have received salutatorian honors feels like a tremendous accomplishment. It was amazing to have my hard work throughout the past four years pay off, and I’m so proud of both Zoila and myself, as well as our entire class.”

  • To what do you attribute your success?

“Throughout my entire life, my mom has been my biggest motivator. She pushed me to be determined and successful, and always place school as a high priority. This, paired with a school environment that fostered achievement, contributed greatly to my academic success.”

  • What are you plans after graduation?

“After graduation, I plan to attend Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa. I will major in health sciences, with the goal to attend graduate school and become a pediatric physical therapist.”

  • What is your fondest memory of high school?

“Senior prom was easily one of the most memorable nights of my high school career. For at least six hours, every person in attendance set aside their differences with one another to simply have fun. It was our last big ‘hurrah’ before graduation, and it had just started to hit us that everything we had ever known was coming to an end. We all took advantage of that night, and it was an incredible time.”

  • What message would you like to give your fellow graduates?

“Class of 2011 – Can you believe how far we’ve come? Since freshman year, you’ve all accomplished so many great things, and you’re going to continue to do so. Go far in your endeavors, but never forget where you came from.”
