Catherine Ernsky grew up in the Indian Hills section of Naugatuck and has lived in Naugatuck for over 30 years. She is a new voice amongst local government but has years of experience supporting civic endeavors, both locally and nationally. She has served as the head of government relations for the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers. She also have served as a delegate for Amnesty International, been an after-hours military case worker for the American Red Cross as well as an advocate for women and children for Save the Children. Catherine has also partnered with the Greater Bridgeport Latino network to teach the legislative process to inner city youth.

Currently, Catherine is working with Agents for Change in which she is an advocate for change in legislation affecting the insurance industry. She is also an active member of the Political Action Committee for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, greater metro New York region. Catherine is also an active member of the American Association of University Women and New York Women’s Agenda working to help educate inner city girls through concerted efforts in the math and science arena and helping to fight against sex trafficking. Through her work with these associations she has been afforded the opportunity to advocate for specific legislation with senators both locally and on Capitol Hill.

On a local level, Catherine is a member of the Republican Town Committee and is familiar with the growing concerns and issues that have arisen right here in our town. Catherine’s background in the corporate world mixed with her political experience will help her to provide workable solutions that will enhance our town, thus making it a better place to work and a better place to live.

I hope you will join me in supporting her with your vote on May 2 for Catherine Ernsky for burgess 7B.
