Letter: Reader supports DeGennaro for Library Board

letters_flatTo the editor,

I wish to make Beacon Falls voters aware of a very special and worthy Library Board candidate on the ballot this November. Jessica DeGennaro has a degree in education from Marist College and has seven years of experience as a teacher in the Region 16 school system.

The library board has a number of duties and Jessica has a good understanding of the fact that friendly relations should be maintained with the library director, the town and Beacon Falls residents. She is an avid library supporter who understands the vital role that the library plays as the center of a community. As an active library user, bringing her two daughters to preschool story time, she knows how the staff works to meet the needs of young families. Jessica has already proven to be a tremendous asset to our town in her tenure on the Parks and Recreation Commission and will bring that same enthusiasm to the Library Board. I strongly encourage you to vote for Jessica DeGennaro in November.
