Letter: Urges voters to support Lezlye Zupkus

To the editor,

During past campaigns, I worked for and donated money to Vickie Nardello. During the legislature’s debate on repealing capital punishment, I contacted Rep. Nardello to express my support for not repealing this law. Her response was, “I was against the death penalty before I was ever elected.”

So, the sentiments of her constituents be damned. Vickie is going to pursue her personal agenda and, in doing so, abuse the power of her office and ignore her constituents.

In addition, she viewed her committee work as an opportunity to ramrod a worthless $500 million bus project.
Connecticut was recently selected by Barron’s magazine as having the worst state finances (Aug. 27, 2012 issue, pages 23-26). Thank you Vickie.

Lezlye Zupkus offers a refreshing, common sense, and business friendly alternative. I urge all my fellow citizens to vote for Lezlye Zupkus.
