“Popular doesn’t mean qualified,” an article I recently read and truly believe. I am not sure which candidate for the town clerk’s position is more popular, nor do I care.
Republican, Democrat, Independent, party affiliation should not be a deciding factor for this position in my opinion.
Knowing and fully understanding the credentials of both candidates, Michelle Dowling is the right person for the job. Voting intelligently leads me to believe in one thing—qualifications. Twelve years experience as the assistant town clerk supersedes someone with no experience working in the town clerk’s environment.
Michelle Dowling has the resume for continued success serving the people of Naugatuck as Town Clerk.
