Letter: Thank you Public Works Department

letters_flatTo the editor,

Item No. 1. Shame on me for taking so long to write this. The Public Works Department of Naugatuck is one of the finest I have ever known. They did a tremendous job last fall paving our road. What a difference it makes. They were polite, kind, thorough and did the job with no hassle. The road is now perfect. Thanks again guys.

Item No. 2. Again, much respect for the Naugatuck Public Works Department. This blizzard was horrendous and they plowed us out in less time than I would have thought.  Great job guys. Keep up the good work, but rest first. You deserve it.

Item No. 3. After having read the Citizen’s News of Feb. 8, 2013, I would like to congratulate Pete, the narcotics detecting black Lab for his retirement from the Naugatuck Police Department. I had the pleasure of meeting Pete one time and he was a dreamboat. Very polite, stop giving kisses when I told him to, which means he listens well, and was very intelligent. There should be more like him. Congrats to him and his new “official” owner Officer Kevin Zainc.
