Letter: Teacher thanks Rubber Avenue businesses

To the editor,

I would like to express my gratitude to all the companies along Rubber Avenue who allowed people to park their cars during the Naugatuck High School graduation ceremony on June 19.

Mountview Plaza has always been cooperative with large NHS functions, and so many other small businesses allowed family, friends, and school staff to squeeze in their vehicles that night. With over 300 members of the Class of 2012, and Mother Nature giving us a pleasant evening, the program was well-attended.  We could not have all been there on time if the Rubber Avenue locations had not been so accommodating.

I’m sure this act of kindness will result in our remembering the shops, restaurants, and services from Rubber Avenue throughout the year.

Best wishes to the Class of 2012.
