To the editor,

It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through our fall 2012 season. Through Recreation and Travel Programs, PYS is serving over 400 players this season. A big thanks goes out to all the coaches who have volunteered their time and talent to coach a team (or two) this season. Of course thank you to all of the parents as well, who continue to support the program by bringing their children to practice and games each week.

PYS is very proud of the training program that we have been able to put into place over the last several seasons with Everson Soccer Program. This additional training for the players is at no added cost to the players and we hope your child has enjoyed it. This season for Rec and Travel teams an Everson trainer works with individual teams to better serve the players needs and aid in their development.

This season’s closing weekend for Rec soccer is Oct. 27. Please check with your coach about closing activities. These details will be decided at our next board meeting on Oct. 1.

Also, please note that we are doing pictures this season. Tom Robinson Photography will be taking photos on Oct. 6 and Oct. 13. Please check with your coach to see which day your player’s team is taking photos.

We will be holding our annual coaches’ dinner on Monday, Nov. 5 at Jesse Camille’s in Naugatuck. All coaches and assistant coaches from this year (spring, summer, and fall soccer) are invited to attend. Please RSVP by Oct. 31st to me at lbing2@hotmail.com.  During dinner we will be holding election for our board. We hope to see you there.

Remember that it is never too early to register for spring soccer 2013. Registration will be available soon. Be sure to check our website toward the end of the fall season. We hope you have a great end to this fall season of soccer and look forward to seeing you again in the spring. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me or any other board member.
