To the editor,

Summer is now in full swing and we hope that you are enjoying the great weather. First, congratulations to all the players on a great spring soccer season. Also a huge thank you goes out to all the coaches, parents, and family members that supported the league and players this season. Without you our program would not work. We extend a special thank you to the coaches for their hard work and dedication.

We hope that you noticed some of the improvements made to our programs this year.  The players looked great out there with their new shirts and the Dinomites program was a great success. We were happy that so many of you took advantage of the free training on Friday nights with Everson Soccer Academy. PYS strives to deliver a high quality program and we will continue to make improvements each year.

Prospect Youth Soccer would like to congratulate Kelly Sherman and Matt Moutinho.  They are our Woodland Regional High School scholarship recipients this year and we wish them the best of luck in the future.

Registration is available now through Aug.1, 2012 for Rec Soccer. Travel Registration closes on July 5. Not much time left for Travel, so be sure to register today if you are interested. You must register your child for the age appropriate level and if it is full, you will automatically be put on a waiting list. Also note that registration must be paid within two weeks of registering and/or the registration deadline. Failure to do so will cause your registration to be deleted from the system. Visit our website at prospectyouthsoccer.com.

Last fall we were able to take advantage of field space in Beacon Falls at the Pent Road Recreation Complex. These fields are in great condition and give the fields at Hotchkiss a well-deserved and needed break. We will be returning to Beacon Falls for half of our Rec games again this fall season. Players will receive a schedule at the beginning of the season.

Prospect Youth Soccer has lots to offer its players this summer with camps from Everson Soccer Academy and WRHS soccer coaches. Detailed information is available on our website (above) in the registration section. Please check it out and see which camp is right for you. We hope to see you out on the field this summer.

Prospect Youth Soccer is always looking for parents who want to get more involved in our program. If you are interested, please contact me at lbing2@hotmail.com. As always, all parents and coaches are invited to attend our monthly meetings. They are held on the first Monday of each month at the Prospect Firehouse at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there.
