Letter: Old Lyme resident impressed with Mayor Chatfield

To the editor,

I am a resident of Old Lyme and when my husband and I were told to evacuate we asked our dear friends Ed and Cindy Scarpati of Prospect if we could stay with them until the storm passed. We moved in with them on Sunday, Oct. 28 and while we were there several red alert phone messages came in from the Prospect Mayor Bob Chatfield.

I was so impressed how informative his messages were and his genuine concern for the residents of Prospect. He continued to leave messages for several days keeping everyone aware of what was going on in town. More towns should have a mayor that is genuinely concerned about their towns’ residents. Thank you Mayor Bob.
