I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Naugatuck Police Explorers for the recent clean up of Candee Road.
I drive up and down Candee Road on a daily basis and I am always dismayed at the amount of trash that people dispose of through their car windows — fast food wrappers and bags, soda and beer cans, water bottles, etc. I do not understand the reason why people find it necessary to do this — you know who you are — just keep your garbage in your vehicle until you get to your destination. How difficult is that?
Candee Road is a beautiful area with waterways, woods and wildlife. Please respect the environment and the efforts of those that work hard to keep Naugatuck clean.
