letters_flatTo the editor,

To all Naugatuck police officers, firemen and personnel workers who have once again unselfishly contributed their sick time to our daughter, Officer Danielle Parady so she can continue to receive her pay and health insurance for the next six months. Not only do we want to thank all the employees of the Borough of Naugatuck, we also want to thank our friends, family members and all the other police officers and firemen from all over who have given of themselves.

We would like to thank St. Francis-St. Hedwig grammar school and Sacred Heart High School for making it possible for Taya, Danielle’s daughter, to attend both schools. We would like to thank our parish family of St. Mary Church who have done so much and are praying non-stop for our family. We would like to thank the reporters who have written so many beautiful stories about Danielle. We would like to thank all the people at White Pines Campsite for all that they have done for us. We would also like to thank all of Danielle’s doctors and staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital who have been so good to Danielle and stayed right by her side in her fight with internal melanoma.

We are overwhelmed by the number of people who care so deeply for Danielle and because of all of you she will continue to fight.

Danielle’s goal is to fight her cancer as hard as she fought to become a Naugatuck police officer and get back on the job to serve you and the Borough of Naugatuck and most of all be there for her daughter, Taya, in the coming years.

Dave and I, Danielle and Taya want to thank everyone for all that you have done for us over the past two years. We could not have done it without each and every one of you.

Our prayers, love and thanks go out to all of you.

Dave and Diana Parady

Officer Danielle Parady and Taya
