letters_flatTo the editor,

The Naugatuck High School DECA chapter held its fourth annual Rip the Runway fashion show on March 14. The show is the prime fundraiser each year for our DECA Nationals competition. This year, 20 students are traveling to Anaheim, Calif. to compete and network with 18,000 high school students from around the world.

With over 700 in attendance, the audience was treated to a wonderful blend of talent which included models, performers, and great music as sponsored by DJ Rob Rager. While our cast and crew worked extremely hard to put on the best show possible, we couldn’t have completed this project without the help of so many dedicated faculty and staff and our longtime sponsors.

DeCarlo’s Formal Wear of Naugatuck has always kept our male formal models dressed to the nines, with their hair looking sharp thanks to the talented crew at New Era Barber Shop. Our female models also looked beautiful courtesy of formal dresses provided by Deb Shops of Waterbury and hair and makeup artfully done by Oxford Hair Academy of Seymour. We are incredibly lucky to have these businesses support our DECA chapter and we extend our sincere thanks to them, and encourage you to support them. We look forward to a continued and long-lasting relationship with them for many Rip the Runways to come.
