letters_flatTo the editor,

Have you ever considered running for public office? A better Prospect starts with you.

As we come into the nominating and caucus period of this year’s (2013) municipal elections you have a unique opportunity to be considered for the Democratic ticket being constructed now for the Town of Prospect.

The process is intended to be welcoming and open to all residents of the Town of Prospect, and in this case while we would prefer registered Democrats, we feel it would only be fair and open minded to include residents with unaffiliated political membership.

Conversations and questions about what are the next steps, obligations and details on the election schedule are available from many of the DTC (Democratic Town Committee) members I’ve included some of the key names and emails at the end of this article.  Please feel free to contact any of these key folks or other friends of the Democratic Party.

If you are concerned that the opportunity or obligation for public office may take more of a time commitment than you can commit please consider becoming an active member of the Democratic Town Committee. That’s the group where ideas, discussion and actions related to public policy begin.

We want to hear your voice.

Eileen Cranney, chair of the Democratic Town Committee, ecranney91@gmail.com.

Gil Graveline, chair of the DTC Nominating Committee, gilgraveline@sbcglobal.net.

Nominating Committee members: Katie Blinstrubus, ktblin@gmail.com  Sandy Russell, sandyerussell@aol.com and  Lorraine Dixon, dixonlorraine@aol.com.
