To the editor,

My name is Mike Christiano and on April 28, 2012 my friend Jessie Kennedy and I participated in our senior project for Woodland Regional High School, The JM Car show.

We held the car show to raise funds to donate in honor of our family members to raise awareness of autism and cancer. We proudly raised over $1,200 in donations to be made to The American Cancer Society, and The Evergreen Center for disabled children. Approximately 40 cars entered the show with many generous spectators also attending.

We couldn’t have done this without the tremendous support we received from  Josh’s DJ Company, Wolcott, Super Stop and Shop, Speedway Motors, Mad Tent’s of Wallingford, The Citizen’s News, Prospect Sanitation, Oliver’s Supermarket, Bill’s Barber Shop, Senor Pancho’s, RPM, Lily Nails, Daytona Tanning, Achieve Fitness, Big Dipper Ice Cream, Lavatech Laundry Technology, and Woodland High School.

Our car show was a huge success and we are grateful we are going to be able to make a significant donation to these organizations, as cancer and autism have unfortunately hit too “close to home” for us.

Michael Christiano and Jessie Kennedy
