letters_flatTo the editor,

I would like to thank everyone who came out to the Grange Hall on April 27 to support my senior project and the DePalma family. Because of your generosity, we raised over $2,000 for the DePalma children’s college fund and the Harold Leever Cancer Center. Wonderful entertainment was provided by some very talented WRHS students. A big thank you goes to Eric Gomez, Catherine Pelkey, Lily Fontaine, Josh Muniz, Nicholle Petracca, Kyra Conroy, Nick Barra, Lindsay Hawthorne, Alyssa Korzon, Kasey Smith, Karlee Vogel, Kiley Soulier and Katie Steinbacher. A special dance performance by Jessica DePalma was also enjoyed. Thank you also to Joe Masulli Sr. for providing the sound equipment and for making sure everything ran smoothly.

I would also like to recognize all those who donated to this event: Prospect Lion’s Club, Oliver’s Supermarket, Baki’s Pizza, Big Dipper Ice Cream, Prospect Dairy Bar, Plumb Farms, Jesse Camille’s Restaurant, Hometown Pizza, Skin Care on Center, Harold Leever Cancer Center, Linda Wrobel, Judy Guertin, Donna Pintek, Peter Suchy Jewelers of Stamford and Lee Schaefer (my grandmother).

On a personal note, I would like to thank my family, especially my mom and dad for being my mentors. They were instrumental in helping me put this event together. Please continue to keep the DePalma family in your prayers as they face some challenging times ahead.

Also, a pair of girls or ladies eyeglasses was found at the hall. You may call (203) 758-5891 to claim them.
