The Women’s Study Club of Naugatuck is set to begin its 118th year. The purpose of the club was to promote general intelligence and intellectual curiosity at a time when few women were attending college. The club meets every other Tuesday in the fall and spring. Each member presents a 20 minute paper on an assigned topic, which was the original format established in 1894. Three papers are read on any given day. The club also participates in social events.
