Babe Ruth announces dates for sign-ups
NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck Babe Ruth announced two sign-up sessions for baseball.
Registration will be done Feb. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ion Foundation Community Room, 270 Church St.
The league is open to places ages 13 to 15 from Naugatuck, Prospect and Beacon Falls. The fee is $160 or $260 for 13-year-olds playing spring preseason and Babe Ruth season. For info, contact Dave Falzone at (203) 558-1441 or gemineye671@aol.com.
Peter J. Foley Little League holding registration
NAUGATUCK — Peter J. Foley Little League announced registration dates for the upcoming spring season.
Registration will be held Feb. 11 and Feb. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 6, Feb. 13 and Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the clubhouse on Andrew Avenue.
Baseball is open to all boys and girls born between May 1, 2003 and Sept. 20, 2011. Players must live on the west side of Naugatuck or in Middlebury. Parents should bring their child and their child’s medical insurance card to sign-ups if possible. For more information, email ryan_indeco@yahoo.com.
Union City Little League announces registration
NAUGATUCK — Union City Little League announced registration dates for the upcoming spring season.
Registration will be held Feb. 5 and Feb. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 6 and Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the clubhouse at 165 Morris St.
Boys born between April 31, 2004 and Dec. 31, 2011 and within the league’s boundaries are eligible to play. Girls born between Dec. 31, 2001 and Jan. 1, 2011 and live in Naugatuck are eligible to play.
Hall of Fame seeks nominations
NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Hall of Fame committee is seeking nominations for induction into the Class of 2016.
The committee will accept nominations for a former Naugatuck High School student, who graduated in 2006 or earlier, or a Naugatuck resident that has contributed to or excelled in athletics. Nominations can be living or deceased, a player, coach, manager or individual.
