Pinho memorial tournament set for August
The third annual George Pinho Memorial Golf Tournament is Aug. 21 at the Southington Country Club.
The entry fee is $150 per player and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and dinner. The fee for dinner only is $50. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, with raffles and entertainment by the Rubber City Blues Band.

Babe Ruth holding sign-ups
NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck Babe Ruth has announced sign-ups for baseball.
Registration will be held Aug. 10 and Aug. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m., Aug. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m., and Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sign-ups are at the Union City Little League Clubhouse, 165 Morris St.

Hop Brook announces junior, senior championships
NAUGATUCK — The Hop Brook Golf Course’s junior and senior club championships are coming up.
The 2015 Junior Club Championship in Aug. 10. There will be divisions for players ages 8 to 17. The entry fee is $10. The 18-hole division will begin play at 8 a.m., while the nine-hole division will start at 9 a.m.
The 2015 Senior Club Championship, which is open to players 55 years old and older, begins Aug. 17. Sign-ups end Aug. 13. The entry fee is $10.

Union City LL holding registration
NAUGATUCK — Union City Little League is holding fall registration the next two weekends.
Registration will be held Aug. 7 and Aug. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m., and Aug. 8 and Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Union City Little League Clubhouse, 165 Morris St. Boys ages 5 through 12 and girls ages 5 through 14 as of Dec. 31, 2015 are eligible to play.
Volleyball camp to be held at Woodland
BEACON FALLS — A volleyball camp for girls entering grades five through nine will be held Aug. 17 to Aug. 21 at Woodland Regional High School.
