Simons earns All-Academic Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Springfield College student-athlete Jacob Simons of Naugatuck earned spring Academic All-Conference Team honors by the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference.
Honorees must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4 scale or 4.35 on a 5 scale after the 2014 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Chamenko recognized during athletics banquet
BOSTON — Ian Chamenko of Beacon Falls received the Most Improved Performer Award for Emmanuel College’s mens indoor track and field team during athletics banquet April 25.
The award is given annually to the student-athlete who has shown the greatest growth and athletic improvement over the past season.
