Hop Brook holding Junior Club Championship

NAUGATUCK — The Hop Brook Junior Club Championship is Aug. 14.

Players ages 14 to 17 will play 18 holes of stroke play beginning at 9 a.m. Players ages 11 to 13 and 7 to 10 will play nine holes.

The entry fee is $15, which will include a lunch banquet following play. The rain date is Aug. 15. Non-members are allowed to play.

Registration, workout Saturday for fall baseball

NAUGATUCK — A registration and workout session for Naugatuck travel baseball’s fall season is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Rotary Field on Hotchkiss Street.

UCLL holding sign-ups for fall ball

NAUGATUCK — Union City Little League is holding registration for fall ball this month.

Registration dates are Aug. 15 and Aug. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m., and Aug. 16 and Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Union City Clubhouse, 165 Morris St.

Fall baseball is open to boys born between May 1, 2001 and April 30, 2009 and girls born between May 1, 2007 and April 30, 2009. Softball is open to all Naugatuck girls born between Jan. 1, 1999 and Dec. 31, 2006.
