Pop Warner raising money, awareness for cancer

Friday, September 30, 2011

NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck Pop Warner football and cheer are doing their part for cancer awareness throughout the month of October.

The Naugy Hounds are selling pink T-shirts and socks with all of the proceeds going directly to a Naugatuck police officer that is suffering from cancer. T-shirts are $12 and socks are $5.

All Naugatuck Pop Warner football and cheer teams are participating in this cause at their home games at Naugatuck High School on Oct. 1 and Oct. 9.

For more information, e-mail mshockiii@sbcglobal.net or call Paul McGrath, league president, at (203) 723-0156.
