The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Austen Davelaar, 28, of 22 Buckskin Lane, Oxford, was charged May 12 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 12 at approximately 4:41 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Davelaar stole $143.84 worth of merchandise. Davelaar was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Jonathan Sharoh, 25, of 489D Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 12 at approximately 10:22 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Sharoh grabbed the victim by her neck. Sharoh was given a court date of May 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Nicholas Delmoro, 23, of 355 Bethany Road, Beacon Falls, was charged May 14 with first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on May 14 at approximately 4:34 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a trespassing complaint. Police reported Delmoro was found on the property after being previously banned from the business. Delmoro was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Glenn Wasilesky, 51, of 23 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged May 14 with disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment

Police reported on May 14 at approximately 10:22 p.m. officers responded to a harassment complaint. Police reported Wasilesky sent the victim harassing messages through a social media site. Wasilesky was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Michael Appuzzo, 58, of 194 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged May 15 with violation of probation.

Police reported on May 15 at approximately 4:06 p.m. officers responded to the Portuguese Club for a suspicious person. Police reported Appuzzo was found sleeping on the steps of the business. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Appuzzo was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Appuzzo was given a court date of May 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $20,000 surety bond.

Joseph Amaral, 18, of 4 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged May 15 with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 15 at approximately 2 p.m. Amaral was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a commercial burglary reported on April 15, 2017. Police reported Amaral and a juvenile male forced entry to a store and stole cash, cigarettes and cell phone chargers. Amaral was given a court date of May 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $25,000 surety bond.

Elecia Ashton, 21, of 59 Haggerty Court, Naugatuck, was charged May 17 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 17 at approximately 1:24 a.m. officers responded to a noise complaint. Police reported Ashton continued to play loud music after being advised not to and banged on the complainant’s door and yelled at her for contacting the police. Ashton was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

Kelly Murphy, 31 of 17 Townsend St., Middlebury, was charged May 17 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 17 at approximately 11:10 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Meadow Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was operating under the influence of alcohol. Murphy was given a court date of June 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Stephen Gagnon, 33, of 1081 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 18 with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 18 at approximately 11 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Gagnon pushed the victim and strangled her. Police reported Gagnon left the home prior to the officers’ arrival. He was located during the night and was placed in custody. Gagnon was given a court date of May 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

Quashanda Mitchell, 31, of 143 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged May 19 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 5:37 p.m. Mitchell was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of New Haven. Mitchell was given a court date of May 31 to appear at New Haven Superior Court and released on a court-set $500 surety bond.

Mickey Bruno, 29, of 35 Highland Drive, Waterbury, was charged May 19 with violation of protective order, risk of injury to child and third-degree assault.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 9:48 a.m. Bruno was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault reported on May 3, 2017. Police reported Bruno assaulted a female juvenile, who is known to him. Police reported Bruno threw the child to the ground and kicked the victim. Bruno was given a court date of May 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $50,000.

Kenneth Dorsey, 51, of 102 Traverse St., Waterbury, was charged May 19 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 6:22 p.m. Dorsey turned himself in on an active arrest warrant out of Troop I. Dorsey was given a court date of May 31 to appear at New Haven Superior Court and released on a court-set $500 surety bond.

Jose Borges-Borrero, 34, of 53 High St., Waterbury, was charged May 19 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 6:43 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Borges-Borrero stole an air conditioner and an infant rocking seat. The merchandise was valued at $311, police reported. Borges-Borrero was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Melissa Foster, 29, of 288 Governors Hill Road, Oxford, was charged May 20 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 11:54 p.m. Foster was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Foster was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

Daniel Johnson, 36, of 154 Chestnut Tree Hill Road, Oxford, was charged May 20 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 11:54 p.m. Johnson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Johnson was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $500 surety bond.

Kyle Marie Renker, 29, of 12 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged May 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 10:57 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, one of them began pouring liquid soap on the floor. The other grabbed and pushed the other party, police reported. Renker was given a court date of May 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Anthony Ruggiero, 44, of 12 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged May 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 10:57 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, one of them began pouring liquid soap on the floor. The other grabbed and pushed the other party, police reported. Ruggiero was given a court date of May 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Robin Hall, 25, of 79 Woodcreek Road, New Fairfield, was charged May 21 with breach of peace and third-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on May 21 at approximately 6:39 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Hall entered the victim’s home without permission. He left the residence prior to the officer’s arrival. Police reported Hall later arrived at the police department to speak with the investigating officer. Based on the investigation, police reported, Hall was taken into custody. He was given a court date of May 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Matthew Sherwood, 18, of 186 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged May 21 with interfering with an officer, breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police reported on May 21 at approximately 6:33 p.m. an officer attempted to conduct a motor vehicle investigation on Bridge Street. The vehicle accelerated away from the officer, refusing to stop. Police reported Sherwood struck a vehicle on Bridge Street and continued to drive east towards Prospect. With the assistance of Prospect officers, police reported, Sherwood was located, and he and a juvenile passenger were taken into custody. Sherwood was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
