The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

ROBERT SKRANSKI, 58, of 21 Curtiss St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 17 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 17 at approximately 5 p.m. Officers responded to 21 Curtiss St. for a domestic disturbance between family members. They were involved in an argument where Skranski pushed and jumped on Corey Tonning, police reported. Tonning punched Skranski in the face causing injury to his nose during the altercation, police reported. Skranski was given a court date of Oct. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

COREY TONNING, 30, of 174 North State St., Ansonia, was charged Oct. 17 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Oct. 17 at approximately 5 p.m. Officers responded to 21 Curtiss St. for a domestic disturbance between family members. They were involved in an argument where Robert Skranski pushed and jumped on Tonning, police reported. Tonning punched Skranski in the face causing injury to his nose during the altercation, police reported. Tonning was given a court date of Oct. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

RYAN MURZYN, 28, of 195 South Road, New Hartford, was charged Oct. 18 with first-degree burglary, two counts of disorderly conduct and possession with intent to sell.

Police reported on Oct. 18 at 4:58 p.m. officers responded to 139 Lewis St. for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Murzyn arrived at the victim’s home to borrow her car. When the victim did not allow him to take the car he attempted to take the car keys, police reported. He also attempted to take the victim’s purse and left before the officers’ arrival, police reported. Officers located Murzyn on Lewis Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Murzyn was wanted on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Sept. 7, 2016. Police reported Murzyn arrived at the victim’s home to retrieve belongings. The victim did not allow him access so he shoved the door open and pushed past the victim, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, Murzyn was found to be in possession of marijuana, a scale and a syringe. Murzyn was given a court date of Oct. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on surety bond.

JOSUE MILLIAN, 31, of 186 Alder St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 18 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 18 Millian was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he attended court. The warrant was for a disturbance reported on Sept. 27, 2016 at 209 Great Hill Road. Police reported Millian, who is an employee of the business, grabbed the victim by his shirt causing a small mark on the victim’s face and a tear to his shirt. Millian was given a court date of Oct. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

ERIC KAPUSTA, 28, of 34 Maple Ave., Derby, was charged Oct. 18 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Oct. 18 at approximately 5:15 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Kapusta was operating under the influence of alcohol. Kapusta was given a court date of Nov. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

MARKUS DAVIS, 27, of 215 Waterville St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 18 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 18 at approximately 4:44 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Police reported Davis selected two DVDs from the store and tried to fraudulently return them for the amount of $44.92. Davis was given a court date of Oct. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

CHRISTOPHER MARIANO, 55, of 16 Round Hill Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 19 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 19 at approximately 10:42 a.m. Mariano was arrested while he was at court. Mariano was given a court date of Oct. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

JOHN O’SHEA, 37, of 23 Salem St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 19 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Oct. 19 at approximately 8:28 p.m. officers responded to New Haven Road by Osborn Road for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined O’Shea was under the influence of alcohol. O’Shea was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

SHAWN P. GARTLAND, 41, of 211 Middle River, Danbury, was charged Oct. 20 with possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny and driving under the influence.

Police reported on Oct. 20 at approximately 5:07 p.m. officers responded to Big Y for a larceny complaint. Police reported Gartland left the store prior to the officers’ arrival. Gartland was located on Spring Street and refused to stop his vehicle, police reported. Gartland continued to drive until he stopped his vehicle on North Spring Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gartland was in possession of drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gartland was operating under the influence of a narcotic. Gartland was given a court date of Nov. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

MICHELLE NUNEZ, 41, of 33 Lewis Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 20 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and son. Upon the officers’ arrival they could hear yelling and items being thrown inside a room, police reported. When the officers entered the room they saw Nunez and juvenile grabbing at and pushing each other. Nunez was given a court date of Oct. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JOAN M. BURNS., 56, of 63 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 20 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 20 at approximately 11:03 p.m. officers responded to 63 Woodbine St. for a domestic disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Burns struck the victim with a phone causing swelling to the victim’s forehead. Burns was given a court date of Oct. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

ROBERT HUMPHRIES, 50, of 1081 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 20 with sixth counts of sixth-degree larceny and two counts of fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 20 at approximately 5:32 p.m. Humphries was arrested on active arrest warrants for larcenies of landscaping equipment and tools reported in July, August and September. Police reported Humphries stole a 40 foot extension ladder valued at $400, an Echo Leaf blower valued at $200, a Husquarvana leaf blower valued at $75, a trimmer valued at $295, an Echo leaf blower valued at $250, a Stilhl trimmer valued at $100, a Craftsman snow blower valued at $600, an Echo leaf blower, a Troy Bilt walk-behind blower and Dewalt drills. Humphries was given a court date of Oct. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

JENNA BOGDAN, 34, of 120 Garvel St., Meriden, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 21 at approximately 12:05 a.m. an officer responded to New Haven Road McDonalds for a suspicious person complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Bogdan was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of Ansonia. Bogdan was given a court date of Oct. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $2,500 surety bond.

BRANDEN L. FONSECA, 23, of 37 Graham Ridge, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with assault of public safety or emergency personnel, breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 2 a.m. officers responded to Church Street for a disturbance. Police reported Fonseca was seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in the commuter lot. Fonseca was yelling obscenities at male party in the parking lot, police reported. He was advised by the officers to stop yelling and he refused. Fonseca then started yelling at the officers. When Fonseca was told to exit the vehicle, police reported, he ran from the officers. Fonseca was found and taken into custody on Rubber Avenue. Fonseca was given a court date of Nov. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

WINSTON THOMPSON, 48, of 25 Stanley St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 3:57 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Thompson and Dezerene Thompson attempted to steal a leaf blower and other merchandise from the store. Thompson was given a court date of Nov. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

DEZERENE THOMPSON, 57, of 25 Stanley St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 3:57 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Thompson and Winston Thompson attempted to steal a leaf blower and other merchandise from the store. Thompson was given a court date of Nov. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

BRIAN BALDWIN, 33, of 138 Towne House Road, Hamden, was charged Oct. 22 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 9:40 p.m. officers responded to 51 Valley Drive for a 911 hang up. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined there was a domestic disturbance at the home. During an argument, police reported, Baldwin shoved the victim. When the victim attempted to call the police, Baldwin ended the call, police reported. Baldwin was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

RONALD SWIERBITOWICZ, 35, of 85 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 10:40 p.m. officers responded to 85 Aetna St. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Swierbitowicz damaged a kitchen table. Swierbitowicz was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

FELICIA MESERVEY, 25, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 23 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Oct. 23 at approximately 3:05 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Webb Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Meservey was operating under the influence of alcohol. Meservey was given a court date of Nov. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

GARY LAROWE, 52, of 732 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 24 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 24 at approximately 6 a.m. Larowe turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Larowe was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.
