The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

JONATHAN OQUENDO-CRUZ, 24, of 2743 East Main St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 15 with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapons in a vehicle, possession of a hallucinogenic, possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 12:37 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Salem Bridge. During the investigation, police reported, Oquendo-Cruz was found to be in possession of marijuana and LSD. A handgun was located on Oquendo-Cruz and he did not have a permit to carry a firearm, police reported. Oquendo-Cruz was given a court date of Aug. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $100,000 surety bond.

ERIN CAPOZZI, 29, of 2636 South Main St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 16 with possession of controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Aug. 16 at approximately 3:37 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Platts Mill Road. During the investigation, police reported, Capozzi was found to be in possession of 0.28 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale and plastic pipe containing a powdery residue. Capozzi was given a court date of Aug. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JOEL BETANCOURT, 54, of 148 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 17 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 17 at approximately 12:07 p.m. officers responded to 148 Fairview Ave. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Betancourt pushed and punched Erica Dejesus-Israel. Dejesus-Israel pushed a large bag the victim was holding into his left eye causing swelling, police reported. Betancourt was given a court date of Aug. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ERICA ISRAEL DEJESUS, 31, of 148 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 17 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 17 at approximately 12:07 p.m. officers responded to 148 Fairview Ave. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Joel Betancourt pushed and punched Dejesus-Israel. Dejesus-Israel pushed a large bag the victim was holding into his left eye causing swelling, police reported. Dejesus-Israel was given a court date of Aug. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DONALD COSTA, 20, of 14 Diamond St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 17 with breach of peace and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 17 at approximately 9:05 p.m. Costa was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault reported on March 18, 2016. Police reported Costa punched the victim, who is known to him, while he was seated in a parked vehicle. The victim sustained a cut to his lower lip, police reported. Costa was given a court date of Aug. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

EROLL HODZA, 28, of 12 Corn Tassle Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 17 with possession of controlled substance and non-student in possession of drugs near school or high school grounds or daycare.

Police reported on Aug. 17 at approximately 10:59 p.m. officers responded to Corn Tassel Road for a disturbance. Police reported Hodza refused to exit a friend’s vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, Hodza was found to be in possession of 19 grams of heroin. Hodza was given a court date of Aug. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

MIGUEL DASILVA, 33, of 32 Carroll Court, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 17 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 17 at approximately 11:44 p.m. officers responded to 32 Carroll Court for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Dasilva damaged interior doors in the home. Dasilva was given a court date of Aug. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond.

DESIREA DUDA, 29, of 85 Rimmon Road, Woodbridge, was charged Aug. 19 with possession of controlled substance: heroin, possession of controlled substance: crack cocaine, use of drug paraphernalia, first-degree failure to appear and three counts of second-degree failure to appear

Police reported on Aug. 19 at approximately 6:51 p.m. Duda was arrested on active arrest warrants for failing to appear. During the arrest, police reported, Duda was found to be in possession of 0.9 grams of heroin, 2.3 grams of crack cocaine and a glass smoking pipe containing crack cocaine residue. Duda was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $2,500 surety bond.

ELIJAH WHITE, 30, of 19 Highland Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 19 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 19 at approximately 8:46 p.m. officers responded to 19 Highland Circle for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Elijah White pushed past Laurynn White to gain access to a bedroom. Laurynn White tried to pull Elijah White out of the room. White was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

LAURYNN WHITE, 32, of 19 Highland Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 19 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 19 at approximately 8:46 p.m. officers responded to 19 Highland Circle for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Elijah White pushed past Laurynn White to gain access to a bedroom. Laurynn White tried to pull Elijah White out of the room. White was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Update: The charge filed against Laurynn White was nolled at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 13, 2016.

MICHAEL CAIAZZO, 33, of 85-3 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 20 at approximately 1:46 p.m. officers responded to 85-3 Lantern Park Drive for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Caiazzo pushed the victim and grabbed her by her wrists. Caiazzo was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MIGUEL SANCHEZ, 23, of 95 Fern St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 20 at approximately 8:15 p.m. officers responded to 95-1 Fern Street for a domestic disturbance boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Sanchez grabbed the victim; he also punched a hole in a wall. Sanchez was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

REBECCA STANDISH, 47, of 32 Greenwood St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 21 with breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 21 at approximately 12:53 a.m. officers responded to 66 Church on Church Street for a suspicious person. Police reported Standish was harassing customers as they left the establishment after she was asked to leave. Standish was given a court date of Aug. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

LAWRENCE ALLEN, 27, of 77 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 21 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 21 at approximately 5:23 p.m. Allen was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Allen was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $500 cash bond.
