The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

ANTONIO BRAGA, 60, of 118 Francis St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 9 with threatening and third-degree stalking.

Police reported on Feb. 9 at approximately 4:12 p.m. Braga was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Dec. 28, 2015. It was reported by the victim that Braga regularly follows her in his vehicle. During an argument, police reported, Braga threatened to harm the victim’s family. Braga was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.

MICHAEL RODRIGUEZ, 23, of 193 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 9 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Feb. 9 at approximately 5:25 p.m. Rodriguez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Rodriguez was given a court date of Feb. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $50 cash bond.

JAHAYRA PRADO, 29, of 376 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 10 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 10 at approximately 11:39 a.m. Prado was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Prado was given a court date of Feb. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

SCOTT LODICE, 35, of 48 Quarry Hill Road, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 10 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 10 at approximately 6:20 p.m. Lodice was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Lodice was given a court date of Feb. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

LAWRENCE J. CARDINAL, 54, of 36 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 10 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Feb. 10 at approximately 9:04 p.m. officers responded to 36 Carroll St. 2nd floor for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Cardinal violated an active protective order. Cardinal was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

JAIME PERUGINI, 36, of 164 Walnut St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 11 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 11 at approximately 12:58 p.m. an officer responded to Big Y Store for a larceny complaint. Police reported Perugini stole $169.27 worth of Advil, Aleve, Nyquil and Tylenol. Perugini was given a court date of Feb. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

MARIAN BLAWIE-HEALY, 56, of 547 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 11 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 11 at approximately 6:35 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Blawie-Healy was given a court date of Feb. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

RONALD SWIERBITOWICZ, 35, of 85 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 12 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and violation of protective order.

Police reported on Feb. 12 at approximately 12:27 a.m. officers responded to 85 Aetna St. Apt. 4 for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Swierbitowicz broke a table and chair in the home. The victim sustained a small laceration on her neck when the accused grabbed her sweatshirt, police reported. Due to the altercation Swierbitowicz violated an active protective order, police reported. Swierbitowicz was given a court date of Feb. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

TIMOTHY CARLSON, 57, of 14 Barnum Court, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 12 with breach of peace.

Police reported on Feb. 12 at approximately 10:31 a.m. officers responded to Ion Bank for a public disturbance. Police reported Carlson entered the bank and argued with the staff regarding the delivery of his debit card. He began to yell obscenities to the bank employees, disturbing customers inside the bank, police reported. Carlson was given a court date of Feb. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $500 surety bond.

PABLO NIEVES, 25, of 128 Grove St., Vernon, was charged Feb. 12 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 12 Nieves was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Nieves was given a court date of Feb. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 cash bond.

JOAO MORAIS, 52, of 108 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 12 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 12 at approximately 11:30 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Morais was operating under the influence of alcohol. Morais was given a court date of Feb. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JANAINA ESPINELI, 34, of 707 Hawley Lane, Stratford, was charged Feb. 13 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 12:57 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Espineli was operating under the influence of alcohol. Espineli was given a court date of Feb. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

JESSICA GADZIK, 28, of 74 Pine Hollow Drive, Middlebury, was charged Feb. 13 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 5:27 p.m. officers responded to 77 Candee Road for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Gadzik arrived at the victim’s home and entered without permission. During an argument, police reported, Gadzik grabbed the victim by the arm. Gadzik was given a court date of Feb. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond. The charges filed against Gadzik were nolled in Waterbury Superior Court on April 7, 2016.

PETER MARTONICK, 47, of 44 Country Hollow Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 13 with disorderly conduct and threatening.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 6:50 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Martonick pinned the victim against a wall while holding a pair of scissors. Martonick was given a court date of Feb. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

DEOLINDA SHEMANSKI, 45, of 45 Windview Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 13 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 8:12 p.m. an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle in Linden Park. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Shemanski was operating under the influence of alcohol. Shemanski was given a court date of Feb. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ANDREW CURTISS, 23, 42 Sharon Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 14 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 12:01 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Route 63. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Curtiss was operating under the influence of alcohol. Curtiss was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JAMES GALLAGHER, 24, of 100 Lyman Road, Wolcott, was charged Feb. 14 with driving under the influence and evading responsibility motor vehicle.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 12:04 a.m. Gallagher was involved in an evading motor vehicle accident. Gallagher struck a parked vehicle on May Street and drove from the area, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gallagher was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gallagher was given a court date of Feb. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

RYAN SMITH, 42, of 38 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 14 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 11:27 a.m. officers responded to 38 Cherry St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Smith knocked an item out of the victim’s hand. Smith was given a court date of Feb. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

CHARLES MUHAMMAD, 41, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 14 with second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 2:09 p.m. an officer investigated a domestic disturbance between stepfather and son. During an argument, police reported, Muhammad grabbed the victim by his neck. Police reported Muhammad pulled the victim to the floor and punched the victim. Muhammad was given a court date of Feb. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
