The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

DEAN BATTAGLINO, 21, of 87 Lakeview Ave., Shelton, was charged Jan. 23 with second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Jan. 23 at approximately 6 p.m. Battaglino turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault reported on Jan. 7, 2015. Police reported Battaglino was arguing with the victim who was sitting in a car at that time. Battaglino was swinging a knife towards the victim, which left a scratch on the left side of the victim’s face, police reported. Battaglino kicked the victim’s vehicle causing damage, police reported. The victim’s phone was dropped during the altercation and Battaglino took it, police reported. Battaglino was given a court date of Jan. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

STACEY CORNER, 47, of North Ave., Stratford, was charged Jan. 24 with driving under the influence and operation of a motor vehicle when license is suspended.

Police reported on Jan. 24 at approximately 3:14 a.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle on North Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Corner was operating under the influence of alcohol. Corner was given a court date of Feb. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

GEORGE NAVIKAUSKAS, 54, of 21 Quentin St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 24 with breach of peace and threatening.

Police reported on Jan. 24 at approximately 8:36 p.m. officers responded to 89 Weid Drive for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During an argument, police reported, his sister slapped Navikauskas and Navikauskas threatened to harm her. Navikauskas was given a court date of Jan. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

LISA CONTI, 60, of 21 Gay Lord Drive, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 24 with breach of peace.

Police reported on Jan. 24 at approximately 8:36 p.m. officers responded to 89 Weid Drive for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During an argument, police reported, Conti slapped her brother, who threatened to harm Conti. Conti was given a court date of Jan. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

CAREY SILVA, 36, of 53 Mortimer St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 25 with violation of a protective order.

Police reported on Jan. 25 at approximately 4:03 p.m. officers responded to the Naugatuck Motor Lodge for a violation of a protective order. Silva made contact with the victim, which was determined to be in violation of a protective order, police reported. Silva was given a court date of Jan. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

JOSEPH MACDONALD, 66, of 684 Maple Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 25 with disorderly conduct and threatening.

Police reported on Jan. 25 at approximately 9:30 p.m. officers responded to 684 Maple Hill Road for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, MacDonald threatened to harm the victim. MacDonald was given a court date of Jan. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held a $5,000 surety bond.
