Police-badgeThe Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

JENNIFER HARPER, 25, of 188 East Main St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 6 with driving under the influence and failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 1:23 a.m. officers responded to 151 Andrew Ave. for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Harper was operating under the influence of alcohol. Harper was given a court date of Feb. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Harper was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Harper was given a court date of Feb. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $150 cash bond.

DAVID SODERBERG, 32, of 129 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 6 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 5:34 p.m. Soderberg was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Soderberg was given a court date of Feb. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $150 court-set cash bond.

RYAN KLIES, 20, of 29 Warren Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 7 with breach of peace and assault in the third degree. He was additionally charged Feb. 8 with assault in the second degree, breach of peace and violation of protective order.

Police reported on Feb. 7 at approximately 9:37 a.m. an officer investigated a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Klies hit the victim in the back of her left leg with a plastic broom. He also punched her in the head, police reported. The victim sustained red welt to her leg and head, police reported. Klies was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 12:41 a.m. an officer investigated an assault between acquaintances. During an argument, police reported, Klies struck the victim with a stick causing a scrape and swelling to the top of the victim’s head. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Klies violated an active protective order by making contact with the victim. Klies was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

STEVEN HEPP, 32, of 715 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 7 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 7 at approximately 6:15 p.m. officers responded to 715 High St. for a domestic disturbance between mother and son. During an argument, police reported, Hepp pushed the victim causing a minor cut to the left side of her upper lip. Hepp was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MELINDA HUDAK, 51, of 24 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 7 with driving under the influence and traveling unreasonably fast.

Police reported on Feb. 7 at approximately 7:53 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Hoadley Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Hudak was operating under the influence of alcohol. Hudak was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

GERALD LUCIA JR., 44, of 80 Bird Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 8 with brandishing of facsimile firearms, disorderly conduct, threatening in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 11:13 p.m. officers responded to 16 Spruce Drive for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Lucia stabbed a wall with a kitchen knife. Lucia then took a handgun out and pointed it at the victim, police reported. When officers arrived it was determined the handgun was a pellet gun, police reported. Lucia was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

CHRISTOPHER SANCHEZ, 33, of 431 Washington Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Feb. 9 with breach of peace and harassment in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 9 at approximately 4:47 p.m. Sanchez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint made on May 14, 2012. Police reported Sanchez left threatening voicemail’s that he was going to harm the victim, who was a former girlfriend. Sanchez was given a court date of Feb. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $7,500 surety bond.

TYRON ARMSTRONG, 34, of 157 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 9 with driving under the influence, failure to drive in proper lane and improper U-turn.

Police reported on Feb. 9 at approximately 12:48 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Armstrong was operating under the influence of alcohol. Armstrong was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
