The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

WILLIAM RODRIGUEZ, 31, of 50 Palisade Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Jan. 12 with violation of a protective order.

Police reported on Jan. 12 at approximately 5:01 p.m. an officer investigated a violation of a protective order complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Rodriguez contacted the victim through text messaging. This was found to be in violation of an active order, police reported. Rodriguez was given a court date of Jan. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $35,000 surety bond.

ANILSON AVIZ, 42, of 65 Woodlawn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 12 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Jan. 12 at approximately 8:41 p.m. officers responded to 65 Woodlawn Ave. Apt. 2 for a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Aviz grabbed the victim by her arms and pushed her against a wall. Aviz was given a court date of Jan. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

SEAN FINNEGAN, 27, of 125 Middle St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 18 with violation of restraining order and second-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on Jan. 18 at approximately 2:38 a.m. officers responded to School Street for a suspicious person. During the investigation, police reported, Finnegan was found in the stairwell of the apartment building. Finnegan was found to be in violation of a restraining order, police reported. Finnegan was given a court date of Jan. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

DARREN S. COOPER, 34, of 1720 E. Main St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 18 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Jan. 18 at approximately 4:05 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Cooper attempted to return items to the customer service desk that he did not enter the store with, police reported. Cooper picked up items off the shelf and attempted to return them as purchased items for a total amount of $38.82, police reported. Cooper was given a court date of Jan. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

ERIKA MATTHEWS, 20, of 111 Wooster St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 19 with breach of peace.

Police reported on Jan. 19 at approximately 5:50 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Bridge Street. During the investigation, police reported, Matthews continued to refuse the officer’s commands. She exited the vehicle several times when she was advised to stay in the vehicle, police reported, and yelled and used profanities as bystanders were in the parking lot where the traffic stop was conducted. Matthews was given a court date of Jan. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ANTHONY ALVARADO, 18, of 21 Olive St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 19 with third-degree criminal mischief, threatening and breach of peace.

Police reported on Jan. 19 an officer responded to Meadow Street for a disturbance. Alvarado and another man were walking by the victim’s home and began to yell profanities at the victim, police reported. They then threw rocks at the victim’s home and Alvardo threatened to harm the victim, police reported. Alvarado was given a court date of Jan. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

MILES BRIHIM, 18, of 231 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 19 with third-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

Police reported on Jan. 19 an officer responded to Meadow Street for a disturbance. Brihim and another man were walking by the victim’s home and began to yell profanities at the victim, police reported. They then threw rocks at the victim’s home, police reported. Brihim was given a court date of Jan. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

CHRISTOPHER MORROCCO, 43, of 32 Patricia Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Jan. 20 at approximately 3:33 p.m. officers responded to 32 Patricia Lane for a domestic disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Morrocco broke a TV screen and struck the victim with a cane. Morrocco was given a court date of Jan. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

ESAM YOUSEF, 39, of 505 North Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 20 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on Jan. 21 at approximately 7:06 p.m. officers responded to 505 Spring St. Apt. A for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During an argument, police reported, Yousef grabbed the victim by her arms causing scratches. When the victim attempted to call 911, police reported, Yousef took the phone from the victim. Yousef was given a court date of Jan. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
