ANDREA VAZQUEZ, 35, of 42 Quality Ave., Somers, was charged Sept. 15 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
ROGELIO VAZQUEZ, 38, of 42 Quality Ave., Somers, was charged Sept. 15 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported at about 2 a.m. Sept. 15 an officer responded to the area of 98 Highland Ave., unit 98G on a complaint of a disturbance. The officer was met at the door by a man who stated there an altercation had been going on for over an hour at unit 98F. Police reported, the man stated he believed someone was being assaulted and there was yelling and obscenities being screamed. While the officer was speaking with the man, police reported, the parties from 98F began to exit the house. They stated they were involved in a domestic altercation. Both parties were intoxicated, police reported. Both parties were given court dates of Sept. 16 to appear at Derby Superior Court.
DAVID FORTIER, 27, of 6 Radio Tower Road, Prospect, was charged Sept. 15 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
Police reported the arrest resulted from a domestic dispute between Fortier and his girlfriend. Fortier was given a court date of Sept. 16 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court and bond was set at $1,000.
- Police are investigating a Sept. 17 theft of a catalytic converter taken from a truck in Beacon Falls. Police reported the victim parked his 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck in a cleared dirt area across the street from a shop at 7 Railroad Ave. at about 10 a.m. before going to work in the shop. The victim was working on and off in the shop until about 7 p.m., police reported. When he started the truck, police reported, the exhaust system sounded loud. After taking a look, police reported, the victim noticed the catalytic converter had been cut off. The incident remains under investigation.
